🔬🧪 What an amazing day at Cloverbud Science Camp! Our campers had a blast learning, exploring, and discovering through hands-on science fun!

Throughout the day, youth explored the theme "I Can Be a Scientist" with exciting experiments, interactive activities, and educational games designed especially for our youngest 4-H members. From making observations and asking questions to testing ideas and solving problems, our Cloverbuds put their scientist skills to work and showed great curiosity and enthusiasm all day long!

We loved spending the day with these young scientists and helping them discover that science is all around us—and that anyone can be a scientist! 🍀🔍✨

🌿🦀 Day 2 of Marine Biology Camp took campers to the St. Joseph Bay Buffer Preserve Lodge for a full day of coastal science exploration!

Throughout the day, youth rotated through hands-on learning stations focused on native plant identification, kayak safety, and aquatic species exploration. Campers also enjoyed a tram tour of the preserve and learned about the diverse habitats and wildlife that make Florida's coastal ecosystems so unique.

From discovering native plants to exploring the species that call our coastal waters home, campers continued building their knowledge of Florida's natural resources through hands-on experiences and outdoor learning. 🌊🐟🛶

🌊🐠 Day 1 of Marine Biology Camp was full of discovery!

Campers started the day at Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park, where a guided boat tour gave youth the chance to observe native wildlife and explore one of Florida's most unique freshwater ecosystems.

In the afternoon, we traveled to Gulf Specimen Marine Lab in Panacea for a hands-on look at marine life and conservation.

Through hands-on experiences and guided exploration, youth learned about the connections between Florida's freshwater ecosystems and coastal environments.

Stay tuned as we continue our marine adventures tomorrow! 🦀🐢🛥️

Learn all about rose gardening in Northwest Florida with Agent Daniel Leonard! We’ll cover rose history, the best varieties for our area, general care tips, a live pruning demonstration, and how to incorporate roses into a Florida-Friendly Landscape.
Attendees will receive handouts, hands-on learning, and even take home a rose cutting to propagate! Refreshments will be provided!

We kicked off our 4-H Summer Camp season today with a buzzing good time at Kindergarten Camp!🐝🌼

Our team visited local schools to teach youth about honey bees and the important role they play in pollination. We read "I Am a Bee" and learned how bees help plants grow and produce many of the foods we eat. Then, we played a hands-on game, where our worker bees "flew" from flower to flower and pollinated each one using cheese balls as pollen!

The youth were engaged, listened well, and had fun while exploring the amazing world of bees. Their smiles and excitement made for a fantastic start to our summer programming.

Thank you to our schools for welcoming us today. We can't wait to continue the fun with more 4-H summer camps throughout the summer! ☀️

Summer camp season starts next week, and several of our Calhoun County 4-H camps are already FULL!

We still have a few spots remaining in:
• Cloverbud Art Camp (Ages 5–7) – Only 2 spots left!
• Teen Lock In (Ages 11–18) – Only 4 spots left!

Our camps provide hands-on learning, new friendships, and plenty of fun throughout the summer. Space is limited, and registration is required.
