Please join us in congratulating Deputy Chief Stacy Mahan on his retirement after 34 years of dedicated service with Sullivan County EMS.
Throughout his distinguished career, Chief Mahan has exemplified professionalism, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to providing the highest level of pre-hospital care to the citizens and visitors of our region. His dedication to excellence has left a lasting impact on both the organization and the communities he has served.
Over the course of his tenure, Chief Mahan served in numerous leadership roles, including Field Training Officer, Captain, Deputy Chief of Training, and Deputy Chief of Fleet Maintenance. In each position, he demonstrated exceptional expertise, mentorship, and a steadfast commitment to the development of EMS personnel and operations.
Beyond his local service, Chief Mahan answered the call to assist communities in need across the country. As an Ambulance Strike Team Leader, he participated in multiple disaster response deployments to Florida and North Carolina following Hurricanes Michael, Irma, and Dorian, providing critical support during times of crisis.
We are grateful for Chief Mahan’s many years of service, dedication, and leadership. As he begins this well-earned new chapter, we wish him and his family a prosperous, healthy, and fulfilling retirement.
