We’re Hiring!

Blowing Rock Academy is looking for a Lead Teacher to join our childcare team!

This is a 40 hour a week position with full benefits, including health insurance, PTO, dental, vision, and retirement.

Applicants must have an associate’s degree or higher in childcare or a relevant field.

Updated Robbins Pool Hours!

Starting Monday, August 17th, Robbins Pool will have updated hours:

Monday–Friday: 2:00 PM–8:00 PM
Weekends: 12:00 PM–8:30 PM

We will be closed Friday, August 28th.

Last day of the season will be Monday, September 7th!

We look forward to seeing you at the pool for these last few weeks!

Registration for 2026 Kinder Soccer is almost here!

Join us at Davant Field for a fun introduction to soccer designed for children ages 3–5. Sessions will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:15–6:15 PM, giving young players the opportunity to learn basic soccer skills, build confidence, and have fun in a positive, active environment.

Registration Opens:

Residents: Monday, August 3 at 9am

Whether you're new to the game or looking to sharpen your skills, this is a great opportunity to learn in a fun and welcoming environment.

The Blowing Rock Mahjong League is adding an additional weekly session!

Beginning Thursday, August 13th, join us every Thursday from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at the Blowing Rock Recreation Center. Our regular Wednesday evening games at 6:00 PM will continue as scheduled.

Whether you're a returning player or looking for another opportunity to play, we'd love to have you join us.

Please help us find a missing cat!

Waffles is a brown tabby, who is missing his front leg,
it was amputated. He is neutered and he weighs about 11 pounds.
They were walking on the Glen Burney Trail this morning about 9:30 AM when he escaped out of his harness and ran up the hill into the woods towards the houses. He is a friendly cat but is probably scared.
