June 14 marks two American traditions: Flag Day and the 251st birthday of the United States Army.

Today, we celebrate the flag that unites us and honor the brave men and women who have defended it. I'm proud to have served alongside so many of them throughout my 26 years in uniform. May we never take their service, or the freedoms they fought to protect, for granted.

I'm grateful and humbled to receive the official endorsement of the Philadelphia Fire Fighters and Paramedics Union.
