We’re Almost Moved Out of 650 Skippack Pike!

The countdown continues! We are almost finished packing up the Blue Bell Library.

It’s been a busy few weeks, and we’re making great progress getting everything ready for our temporary home!

Coming October 20: We’ll reopen at our temporary location at 960 C Harvest Drive, Blue Bell, PA.

We can’t wait to welcome you back soon!

Blue Bell Library Update: Progress at Harvest Drive!

Things are moving along as we get closer to opening our temporary location at 960 C Harvest Drive in Blue Bell! We’re making great progress getting everything ready for our patrons and can’t wait to welcome everyone into our new temporary space.

Regis and Zeus Update!

Regis and Zeus have officially moved to their temporary homes! Yesterday, our two favorite library turtles were safely relocated.

They’ll be well cared for and enjoying their temporary accommodations while the Blue Bell Library gets a fresh new look.

Day 3 of Packing!

The boxes are piling up, and we’re making great progress getting the Blue Bell Library packed and ready for our move!

Remember, the Blue Bell Library is CLOSED October 1–19 while we pack and move to our temporary location.

Moving Day 2! The non-fiction shelves are coming down to be moved to Harvest Drive. We keep telling ourselves - one book at a time! 😅

A few reminders:
- Updates can be seen at wvpl.org/main-library-renovation-updates-information
- The Main Library will be closed from October 1-19.
- We plan to open at the temporary library location on October 20. We will resume regular hours and services - book holds, computer use, reference help, and so on.
- During the month of October, holds must be picked up from another library. A few leftover holds at Blue Bell have been moved to the Ambler Branch Library. Please check your account or holds notification (email, text message) to confirm the pick-up library.
- Book Returns must be taken to another MCLINC library. Ambler Branch, William Jeanes, Upper Dublin, Norristown Public Library, and Horsham Library are a few of the closest libraries to Blue Bell Library (within a 20 minute drive).
- Staff will not be available to pick up the phone during the move. We are busy packing boxes.
- Plans for the renovation at 650 Skippack are in-process and will be shared as soon as we can.
