Please join us on Saturday, September 19, from 1–4 PM as preservation timber framer Nevan Carling hosts a live hewing demonstration at the Fisher House, showcasing how logs were transformed into usable timbers using hand tools similar to those Jonathan Fisher used more than 200 years ago.

As part of the ongoing restoration of the Fisher House, Nevan will be preparing timber for sill repairs while sharing the history and craftsmanship behind this traditional building technique. Visitors are welcome to stop by, watch the process, ask questions, and learn more about the preservation work taking place at the house.

This free & family friendly program is open to the public! Join us for an afternoon of history, craftsmanship, and preservation in action.

Each summer, the Fisher House Antiques Show brings together antique collectors, history lovers, and curious visitors from all over the Northeast. But little know that the venue is straight out of the pages of a classic children’s book.

Held at the Blue Hill Fairgrounds, our show takes place on the very grounds that inspired the fair in Charlotte’s Web. Author E.B. White, who lived just down the road in Brooklin, based the setting of his 1952 children’s book on the Blue Hill Fair, right down to the livestock barns and lively midway.

On Saturday, August 15, explore a wide range of antiques from amazing dealers across Maine and New England. Whether you’re looking for a treasured piece or simply enjoying Downeast Maine on a beautiful Saturday, there’s something special about the Jonathan Fisher House Antique Show.

Come for the antiques, stay for the charm. See you on Saturday, August 15th at 8am for early buyers.

August may be slipping away like a bottle of wine, but the 2026 Annual Jonathan Fisher House Antiques Show will be held at the Blue Hill Fairgrounds on Saturday, August 15th, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, rain or shine — with a record-breaking 40 dealers lined up.

The venue is the iconic animal exhibit sheds of the local county fairgrounds made famous in E.B. White’s children book, Charlotte’s Web, need we say more?

Important stuff: admission is $10.00, or early buyer’s admission is $15.00 at 8:00 am.

Of course, there will be something for everyone. You won’t want to miss this year’s record breaking show.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the season opening at the Fisher House! This Garden Party was truly one for the books, and we're so grateful to everyone who helped make it such a memorable evening.

We'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Jonathan and Malinda Curtis for their generous support of the live music, the Blue Hill Wine Shop for partnering with us to provide a wonderful selection of wine and cheese; Peter Lione for going above and beyond to help bring the event to life; and The Leftovers for generously lending us their speaker system. Your generosity and support made the evening truly special.

We're already looking forward to next years!
