Blue Point Fire Department

Blue Point Fire Department The BPFD was founded in 1890 and serves the hamlet of Blue Point. Additionally the department also has a Fire Police Squad.

The members of the department are volunteers and must successfully complete training classes offered by the Suffolk County Firefighters Training Academy, pass a written exam and obtain a Firefighter 1 certificate. Members train weekly and must answer a percentage of all alarms the department is activated for. The department is organized with three companies: Hose Company, Engine Company and Hook and Ladder Company.

The parade will begin at 10:00 AM at the intersection of Middle Road and Blue Point Avenue, ending at the memorial at the Blue Point Fire House, where services will begin immediately following the parade. Thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you there.

Good evening, everyone. We are closely monitoring the weather for tomorrow’s Memorial Day parade and ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM. A final decision regarding the parade and the location of the ceremony will be made at 8:00 AM tomorrow morning (Monday morning). Thank you for your patience and understanding.
