West Fannin Elementary West Fannin Elementary West Fannin was created in 1992 when two elementary schools, Epworth and McCaysville, were consolidated to become one school.

West Fannin Elementary School, located in the beautiful foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Fannin County, serves approximately 500 students in grades kindergarten through fifth. The teachers and staff have come together to furnish an environment and facilities which are conductive to an optimum learning experience.

Our next Student Virtual Learning Day will be this Friday, March 13, 2026.

Scheduled Student Virtual Learning Days allow Fannin students to continue learning even when Fannin teachers are expected to participate in professional development. Students will work from home on teacher-created assignments. Student Virtual Learning days will not include live, face-to-face instruction. Assignments will be due at the end of the day on Friday.

Hello 3rd Grade Moms,

We are excited to have you join us for breakfast this Wednesday, March 11th! Here are some important details regarding the event:

Location: The breakfast will be held in the WFES Cafeteria.

Parking Instructions: Please park only on the bus pad. To ensure we do not interrupt the parent drop off flow, all parents should enter through the bus pad doors rather than the main entrance.

Parking Time: You may begin parking on the bus pad at 7:30 a.m., once all buses have been released. Please note that the bus pad doors will not open before 7:30 a.m.

ID Requirement: Make sure to have your ID on hand.

Siblings: If you have children in grades PK-5th, they are welcome to walk in with you before heading to their designated classes.

We are looking forward to this special morning with our parents and would like to extend our gratitude to the PTO for hosting this event!

Today, we dazzled in our multicolor, neon outfits!🌈✨ A huge shoutout to our amazing guest readers who brought stories to life and to the FCHS students for sharing their time and enthusiasm with our little bookworms! 📚❤️

Prizes were flying around like confetti, and who could forget the scrumptious blueberry Danish that made breakfast a treat? 🥐💙

We're collecting food donations for Snack-n-a-Backpack, a fantastic local organization that supports families in our community. They are in need of individually boxed raisins, Mott's gummies, and peanut butter crackers. 🍇🍬🥜

If you're out shopping, consider picking up a few items to donate. Every little bit helps! Encourage conversations at home about how we can all make a difference. We welcomed more fantastic guest readers who made stories come alive. 📚 Served on the menu was delicious cheese toast with bacon, that our students enjoyed! 🥓Plus, there were loads of exciting prizes!
