The first Habitat for Humanity of Fannin & Gilmer Counties, Inc. house to be built in over 20 years in Gilmer County was sure a special one!! At that time Karleen Parks Ferguson was our HFHFG President and property had been donated by a land owner in Ellijay. We had just hired a new Executive Director, Anita Hardy, to lead this ship and community partners were showing up to help this deserving young mom that had been working for the Gilmer County Charter School System for years. Her oldest daughter was a young leader of Gilmer High School. You will now see this busy mom helping build the next Habitat homes in the community on Saturdays because that’s just who she is!!
Come celebrate all of these families at Poured for a Purpose 2026: Habitat at ROO Mountain Vineyards Fundraiser so that we can continue to help build affordable homes for members in our community to purchase. 🏡
