🌿 for Seasonal Employment Opportunity – Blue Rock State Park 🌿

Blue Rock State Park is currently accepting applications for a seasonal position. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and helping maintain a clean and welcoming environment for park visitors. Accepting applications until March 31,2026.

Camp Store Associate (1 Position)
Assist with daily operations of the park’s retail camp store. Responsibilities include operating the register, selling merchandise, scooping ice cream, and assisting campers/cabin guests with check-in and check-out.
Pay: $13.98/hour
Season: Early April – Early November
Hours: Begin at approximately 32 hours per biweekly pay period, increasing to about 48 hours during peak season. This is a 7-day operation; weekend and holiday shifts will be required as needed.

Custodial Worker (1 Position)
This position is responsible for cleaning park restrooms and the shower house, picking up trash throughout the campground, and assisting with other duties as assigned to help maintain park facilities and grounds.
Pay: $13.98/hour
Season: Early April – Early November
Hours: Begin at approximately 48 hours per biweekly pay period, increasing to about 64 hours during peak season. This is a 7-day operation; weekend and holiday shifts will be required as needed.
Requirements: Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license.

How to Apply:
Stop by the Dillon State Park Office to fill out an application. Park office hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

What an unseasonably spring-feeling Winter Hike we had this past weekend at Blue Rock!

It truly was an absolute delight to hike with y’all (including all of the pups!) through the beautiful scenery and talk about trees, beavers, mosses, vernal pools, and everything else!

Final numbers:
Hike distance: 3.9 miles
Hike time: 2 hrs 40 mins
Elevation gain: 627 feet
Temp at departure: 46°F

What an unseasonably spring-feeling Ohio Department of Natural Resources Winter Hike we had this past weekend at Blue Rock!

It truly was an absolute delight to hike with y’all (including all of the pups!) through the beautiful scenery and talk about trees, beavers, mosses, vernal pools, and everything else!

Come work surrounded by nature this summer! Dillon State Park & Blue Rock State Park are both hiring select seasonal positions. To apply, stop by the Dillon Park Office at 5265 Dillon Hills Drive in Nashport. Application period closes at 4pm on Wednesday, May 14.

Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver license.

Dillon State Park:

Cabin Custodian - $18.06/hr. Position is seasonal with 16-32 hours per week. Typical hours are 7am-3:30pm, with some required weekends. Works with a team to clean and maintain rental cabins, park restrooms, and other facilities as needed. Duties include laundry, cleaning of all surfaces, cleaning furniture and equipment, emptying trash, washing windows, vacuuming, and other related duties as needed.

Natural Resources Technician 1 (Beach Attendant) - $18.63/hr. Position is seasonal with 32 hours per week. Normal schedule will be Friday through Monday, 9am-5:30pm from mid-May until the beginning of September. Duties include picking up litter and debris, emptying trash cans, cleaning out grills, string trimming, raking beach, mowing, and other duties as assigned. The purpose of this position is not only to maintain the beach area but is for the public beach users to have a point of contact in case of an emergency or missing person (child).

Blue Rock State Park:

Natural Resources Technician 1 - $18.63/hr. Position is seasonal with 32 hours per week. Schedule and hours will vary, with weekends required. Position is from May until October. Duties include picking up litter and debris, emptying trash cans, cleaning out grills, string trimming, raking beach, cleaning rental cabins, mowing, cleaning canoes and lifejackets, assisting customers with rental boats, and other duties as needed.
