School is out and we are already prepping for Back to School!
Our mission is to help students feel confident walking in the doors on that first day back to school!
Our Back-to-School fair for Blue Springs students will be held at OUR office on Friday August 14th. Parents will pre-register their children to receive a new backpack and age-appropriate school supplies. Families will check-in, pick up supplies and a new backpack.
Blue Springs families are able to sign up in office as of July 15th on a FCFS basis. We will be accepting donations from now until August 13th.
We have barrels available for churches and businesses that we will drop off to fill with school supplies. We will also be collecting supplies at our office located at 200 sw 10th. If you would rather donate monetarily towards our school supply purchase, we will be accepting gift cards and checks also!
We are SO thankful to be able to send our students to school with all they need to be successful!

Today, we’re incredibly thankful for Amanda Worley, our Community Services League - Blue Springs Office & Community Services League - Oak Grove Office Site Manager, who was honored with the Oak Grove Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award.

Amanda has been with CSL for 5 years, and her heart for serving others is evident in everything she does.

We asked Amanda what she loved most about working at CSL, “My favorite part of my job is simply being able to make an impact every single day. I can’t change the world but I CAN change someone’s day. It may be using resources to help their situation, simply giving them food or even being able to provide them a voucher for hearing aids. The impact we can make with kindness and compassion goes a long way.”

Please join us in congratulating Amanda on this well-deserved honor. We are so grateful for the compassion, leadership, and care she brings to our community every single day.
