The mission of the Bluefield Sanitary Board is to provide customers with high quality, cost effective sanitary sewer services by collecting and treating all wastewater generated from Bluefield WV , Bluefield VA and Brushfork WV service areas and in accordance with applicable Local, State, and Federal permit requirements. Our crews are out in your community every day working hard to improve and rep

air the wastewater infrastructure in Bluefield WV, Bluefield VA and Brushfork WV. These improvement/repair projects help to protect the health and safety of you and your neighbors, as well as reduce the risk of environmental impacts associated with a failing infrastructure. Westside Treatment Plant located at 203 Parsley Street Bluefield Va and Ada Treatment Plant located at Rt 112 Bluefield WV. Westside Treatment Plant is designed to treat 8.3 million gallons of sewer a day, and the Ada Treatment Plant is designed to treat 1.2 million gallons of sewer a day. Approximately 350 miles of sanitary sewer lines combined in Bluefield, WV, Bluefield, VA & Brushfork, WV.

Please be advised that **College Avenue will be closed between the Leatherwood and Ferndell intersections Monday through Friday.**

Crews will be conducting work daily from **8:00 AM to 8:00 PM**. College Avenue will fully reopen at the end of the day Friday. Please use caution when traveling in the area due to **heavy equipment and construction activity.** ⚠️

The sanitary sewer upgrade for College Avenue in Bluefield WV will begin on Monday, August 10th. Expect road closures and delays over the next few months. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, but please plan your routes accordingly.

UPDATE - Service has been restored. Our online payment system is working. Our office will reopen at 8:00 AM tomorrow morning.

We are aware our phone system is down. Frontier is currently experiencing an internet outage, which affects our phone system. Frontier is not able to give us information about a restoration time yet. We have paused water company disconnects for the time being. Payments can be made in office in cash or check only.
