Officially closed as a school in the year 2000, the Ramsey sat vacant and neglected for years. Recently it was donated to Gary Bowling's House of Art a 501C3e non-profit organization. Inside the Ramsey's 33,000 square feet of space, we would eventually like to fill with artists studios and other oraganizations with a like-minded goal of promoting the arts in and around the community. The potential

of the building is staggering, and we are well underway to creating a regional arts center. The main gallery area is handicap accessible, with accessible parking nearby. Bluefield, West Virginia - School with Most Multi-Level ground floor Entrances
Ramsey Elementary School has at least one claim to fame. Many years ago it was featured in "Ripley's Believe It or Not" because it has ground floor entrances on seven different levels. The school was built at the corner of two streets, each of which is quite steep. So, the two roads wrap around it in an ever increasing incline.

⚠️ FREE bread and treats at Sourdough Co. Cafe from 4PM-7PM ⚠️ 704 Bland St. 📍
Because we are in a public building, the doors are open until 7PM today. It doesn’t need to be a holiday for your family to enjoy fresh bread and baked goods. We understand money is tight right now, we feel it too, so please stop by from 4-7PM TODAY and grab some free bread and treats as our gift to you! We also have some backpacks with school supplies that were given to us to find homes for. Take what you need, please.

Good morning, and Happy Saturday! As usual, the Beaver/Graham game was the talk of the town, and this year hosted RECORD attendance! Just when you thought it couldn’t get any bigger! 😳. We were honored to set up a Bluefield Memorabilia Exhibit at the game, museum curator John Velke spent months gathering historic artifacts and putting them together an amazing display. If you missed the exhibit at the game, it will be on display in The One Thin Dime Museum for the next couple of weeks.
If you’re in from out of town, be sure to put the House of Art on your to-do list today—walk through the Ramsey, browse the art, the history, and the memories that fill this place! Open from 11 to 4 today, see you here! ❤️😃

We had so much fun, met new folks, caught up with old friends, and we all enjoyed this stunning show! Gary’s show will be up through September, and then NIGHTSCHOOL kicks in, and October is on fire!🔥 If you didnt get a chance to come to the opening, remember we are open every Saturday from 11 to 4, and you may also call for an appointment. Good morning, and Happy Saturday! The House of Art and The One Thin Dime Museum are open for your exploration today from 11 to 4, and then tonight, the Gary S Bowling Exhibit Opening and Reception welcomes you from 6 to 8! What a full and fun day!
Stop by and browse the new collection and enjoy seeing your friends and neighbors. This event is free and open to the public, and all proceeds from the work sold at this exhibit will be used to continue the restoration and renovation of the Ramsey School. See you here! ❤️😃
