This morning at 4:13 Bluefield fire department was dispatched along with other departments to a structure fire just outside the city. While in route crews were notified of possible entrapment. Crews arrive on scene with heavy fire on the front of the structure. Crew members extinguished Fire and search the structure found it was vacant.

The Bluefield Professional Firefighters proudly presented a scholarship to support Kaylee McKinney in pursuing higher education. Members of the Bluefield Professional Firefighters were honored to invest in the next generation and reaffirm their commitment to serving the community both on and off the job. CLARKSBURG — The City of Clarksburg has agreed to a $1.25 million settlement over litigation alleging it didn't pay firefighters properly.

Over the weekend members from City of Bluefield Fire Department and members from Bluefield Virginia Fire Department  participated in an auto extraction course.
