Bears Den Trail Center

Bears Den Trail Center Bears Den offers a drop-in long-distance backpacker hostel, lodging for group or private rentals, & 5 primitive campsites, plus hiking trails to explore.

Bears Den is owned by the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and operated by the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club. The historic stone mansion sits on 66 acres and is 150 yards from the AT and a beautiful, westward-facing overlook of the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains.

Notice how the toggle is at 3-9? Well it's not supposed to be there. A hiker couldn't get it to do what he wanted so rather than ask for help he drenched it n destroyed it n then snuck off. It's only 700.00 to replace n we just replaced one in March. Ao much anger n frustration even on trail
