Looking for a first preschool experience for your little one? Bluemont Community Center still has space available in our 2026-2027 Preschool class for ages 2.5-3!

Our supportive classroom gives children an introduction to a school setting while helping them build confidence, independence, and important early learning skills. Through the STREAMin³ curriculum, children learn through play, hands-on activities, stories, music, movement, and daily routines that support their social, communication, and developmental skills.

Classes begin in September, but it’s not too late to join us!

Dance into fall at Bluemont Community Center! We’re excited to welcome JST Athletics and Dance to Bluemont this fall with new dance classes for ages 4 to 12! Whether your dancer is just getting started or ready to learn some new moves, there’s something for them:

Creative Movement | Ages 4-5, Tuesdays, 4:30 to 5:15 p.m.
Intro to Ballet | Ages 5-7, Tuesdays, 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.
Hip Hop I | Ages 5-7, Wednesdays, 4:30 to 5:15 p.m.
Hip Hop I | Ages 8-12, Wednesdays, 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.

From creative movement and ballet basics to high-energy hip hop, these classes are all about building confidence, learning new skills, and having fun along the way. Classes begin in September and space may be limited, so register early!

And just like that, our regular summer camp season has come to an end at Bluemont Community Center!

Our Camp Bluemont groups spent the summer playing games, creating crafts, trying new activities, and making new friends! A huge thank you to our amazing camp staff for making it all possible!

Our Camp on the Road crew had another awesome summer exploring near and far! From caves and caverns to ropes courses, museums, pools, the National Aquarium, Hersheypark, and more, campers tried new things, conquered a few fears, and made plenty of memories along the way.

We are not quite finished yet! Finale Week begins next week, bringing our campers together for one last week of summer fun.

As summer begins to wind down, we are looking ahead to another great season at Bluemont Community Center.

Fall registration opens tomorrow, Thursday, August 6, 6:30 a.m.

We are offering activities for all ages, including new classes and vendor-led programs in dance, cooking, art, music, sewing, and more. You will also find returning favorites, school holiday programs, teen trips, and special community events throughout the season.

The Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) will resume normal operations on Saturday, July 18, 2026. PRCS will continue to monitor air quality conditions throughout the day and adjust operations if necessary.

Weather permitting, all athletic fields, outdoor pools and splash pads will open as scheduled, with the exception of the outdoor pool at Franklin Park, which will open at 1:00 p.m. following a scheduled swim meet.

All outdoor PRCS activities and sporting events hosted by PRCS will be held as scheduled, unless otherwise noted.

The Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) has canceled all outdoor programs and activities scheduled for Friday, July 17, 2026, due to the Code Purple Air Quality Alert issued for the metropolitan Washington region. The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality’s air quality forecasts for Northern Virginia are for Code Red or Code Purple.

As a result of the unhealthy air quality forecasts, all athletic fields, outdoor pools and splash pads will be closed on Friday, July 17, 2026. In addition, all PRCS outdoor camps hosted in Loudoun County have been moved indoors or canceled.

Residents should postpone visits to Loudoun County parks, playgrounds and other PRCS outdoor facilities due to the unhealthy air quality. Loudoun PRCS indoor programs provided at indoor spaces will continue as scheduled.

All sporting events hosted at PRCS athletic fields and outdoor pools are canceled on Friday, July 17.

Loudoun PRCS regrets any inconvenience, but operational adjustments are warranted for the safety of Loudoun County residents.
