Man charged with burglary following incident at Bluff City Little League, authorities say

04/29/2026

I would like to address the recent concerns and misinformation being shared regarding parking at the Jr Patriots Baseball/Softball Fields and our communication with the Town of Bluff City.

As an organization, we have been actively working with the town to resolve the growing parking issues at the fields. This has become a larger concern this season due to the continued growth of our organization.

The town and the town family committee has worked with us tirelessly to come up with a plan to fix this issue. They want us to be a part of the community. I hate that there has been bad publicity put out towards them.

To address the issue of payment. There was never any request to pay anyone under the table. All money payed was properly paid and documented.

We have worked together to develop a parking map to help parents and families better understand where parking is available. We will also be encouraging carpooling from nearby lots to help ease congestion and improve safety for everyone during the remainder of the season.

The Town of Bluff City never issued Jr Patriots an ultimatum. They never told us we were not welcome back.

There are no hard feelings toward the Town of Bluff City. We appreciate their willingness to help us work through these issues and support our growing program.

If you are attending the town hall meeting tonight please go to offer solutions and help the problem not to become part of the problem or make the problem worse.

We appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and support as we work through this situation. Our goal has always been—and will continue to be—to provide a safe and positive environment for our players, families, and community. Please call me directly with any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Steve McMillian
Director of Jr Patriots

While the forecast models are still changing, please keep in mind that we are expecting inclement weather over the weekend. We are asking residents to remember the following:
Check on family and friends, especially vulnerable individuals.
Only travel if absolutely necessary. If you must drive, check the weather beforehand and let someone know where you're going and your travel times. Drive slowly and give yourself extra time to arrive.
Watch your step. Ice can be sneaky and take you out without warning.
Be prepared with provisions - food, water, batteries, and fill your gas tank.
Keep your devices charged, including backup batteries.
