Summer is kicking off in full swing next week, and the Bluffton Parks Department has an exciting lineup of events planned for the community! Check out the list of activities happening next week and start marking your calendars for a summer full of fun, creativity, and adventure. FREE TENNIS LESSONS- Monday – Friday, June 1st to June 19th at Lion’s Park, weather permitting. Parents must fill out a registration form the first day the child attends, and we recommend bringing your racquet if you own one. (Follow Bluffton Parks on Facebook for weather-related delays) Class is determined by the grade the student will enter or by being age 5 by June 1st:
9:15- 10: 15 am 5 years to 1st grade (Mondays only)
9:15 – 10: 15am 2nd – 4th grade (Tuesday – Friday)
10:15 – 11:15am 5th – high school (Monday-Friday)

Log your Running or Biking Mileage. Earn some cool swag AND meet your milage goals.

The miles that you get from normal steps taken during the day do not count. Miles that you intentionally run or walk for exercise, do count! Keep track in the following ways:

CHALLENGE RULES:
Treadmill/indoor or outdoor walking and running, intended to cover a distance - COUNTS!
Stationary/indoor or outdoor cycling, intended to cover a distance - COUNTS!
Steps walking around your home/office - DON'T COUNT.
EXAMPLES: Walk to and from work every day - COUNTS! Steps around work, to and from colleges office - DON'T COUNT. Steps around the house / normal activity - DON'T COUNT. Walking miles with my dog- COUNTS! It's all about intention to cover a distance. IMPORTANT DATES:
JUNE 1 - CHALLENGE STARTS start tracking your miles on Strava or manually on your milage log.
JUNE 24 - T-shirts ready for pick up
AUGUST 1 - Begin mailing t-shirts and medals to participants selecting packet mailing during registration. In-person medal pick up begins.
AUGUST 31 - Challenge ends
PICNIC IN THE PARK – Children aged 18 and under are invited to enjoy a FREE lunch every weekday from 10:30-12:30 pm at Roush Park (925 W Silver) starting June 1st to June 30th. This program is provided by the Bluffton Harrison Metropolitan Schools and is open to youth from any district. No registration is required; simply stop by the park pavilion Monday – Friday for a free balanced meal. Meals must be eaten on-site. Adult cost $3.40 for lunch.
COLONIAL GAMES - Must be pre-registered to attend! This event is currently FULL!! Step back in time for family fun! Colonial Games at 5 Points School, in preparation for celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary! Discover History Through Hands-On Fun and Games! Bring the whole family and experience the kinds of games children played during colonial times. Try your skills, make memories, and celebrate America’s early history together! Colonial Games at

Weeknight Yoga– (Monday’s 6-7pm) and (Wednesday’s 6-7pm) at Washington Park! Bring a Yoga mat! Punch card $60 for 10 sessions.
Farm Wagon - The Community Harvest Farm Wagon visits Bluffton every Tuesday at 9am to give FREE fresh food to families in need at Life Community Church South parking lot (428 S Oak St Bluffton, Indiana). Enter the parking lot at the south entrance off Oak Street and park facing North.
FREE INTRO TO PICKLEBALL - Adults and teens over 16 are invited to learn the fun and fast-paced game of Pickleball. Join volunteer instructor Rick King on Tuesdays and Thursdays through the months of June, July, and August at Lancaster Park (200 E. Jackson) Pickleball Courts, starting at 10 am.
Tot Time Tuesday and Thursdays - Children ages 2-5yrs are invited to join us at Roush Park (925 W Silver) for some fun in the sun from 9:00-9:30am. This is a drop-in event and adults can plan to stay and play with their child. This event cancels in poor weather so, check the Bluffton Parks page for announcements. June 2nd - Bubble Day, June 4th - Lego Day, June 9th - Scavenger Hunt, June 11th - Mark's Ark 9-10am for all ages, June 16th - Chalk it up, June 18th - Puzzle Day, June 23rd - Messy Art, June 25th - Play Day (Toys, Chalk Obstacle Course, and Yoga Poses.)
5 in 5 5K Series - Race 1 Wabash River Pavilion behind Hardee’s. Casual Fun run along Bluffton’s River Greenway. 7PM Tuesdays: June 2nd, June 9th, June 16th, June 23rd, June 30th. 5 Weeks. 5 Fun Runs. Just $1 Each! Join us this summer for a casual 5K series that’s perfect for all ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just want to enjoy a walk with friends, this series is for YOU! We’ve got fun planned for each night — from sweet treats to surprise experiences. Only $1 per run. Walkers and runners welcome. Complete 4 out of the 5 runs and earn a FREE 5 in 5 Series T-Shirt! Bring your friends, your family, and your good vibes — this is all about community, movement, and summertime fun.
Crafting for a Cause - Come help make a difference in someone’s life by Crafting for a Cause! Meet at the Roush Park Pavilion (925 W. Silver) on the following Wednesdays from 11-11:45am: June 3rd - Decorating Cloth Bags June 10th – Bead Craft June 17th - Bookmarks June 24th – Jingle bell bracelets This is a FREE drop-in event for ages 7yrs. and up. Crafts that are made will be donated in a Christmas box to those in need.
Egg Drop Challenge - This FREE event is for youth ages 7-18yrs to build a contraption to protect their egg from a 2nd-floor drop. This event is held in the Bluffton City Gym (128 E Market) from 2:30-3:30pm on Wednesday, June 3rd. Some building supplies are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. Each participant must bring 2 raw eggs that are in a Ziploc bag to launch! This is a drop-in event, no need to register in advance.
Gardening Basics - Learn with Amber from BroxonBerry 6:00 PM - June 3rd at Parlor City Community Garden
(Located near 1613 W Cherry Street) (Rain site if needed: Washington Park Pavilion). Come learn the main plant families, their needs, common pests, and how to care for them and your soil at the same time. Drop-In Class. No Registration Required! Lego Play Day - Come out to Roush Park pavilion on June 4th from 9:30-10:30am for ages 6yrs. and up to build your best Lego creations! Legos will be provided for this event, just bring your ingenuity and inventive minds! An adult must be present with their child.
Art In the Park - Join the Bluffton Parks Department every Friday from June 5th - June 26th for a free craft at Roush Park (925 W Silver) from 10:30-11:30am. This is a drop-in event open to all ages, but adult supervision is required for children under 7. The first 60 kids will receive the free craft. This outdoor event cancels in poor weather. Follow us on Facebook at Bluffton Parks for weather-related updates. Participants are asked to bring their own markers on June 5th, June 12th and June 19th. June 5th - DIY Plastic Boomerang (bring markers) June 12th - Tropical Shell Craft (bring markers) June 19th - DIY Paper Fans (bring markers) June 26th-Foam Bug and Zoo Animal Mask craft.
Johnny Folsom 4 - FREE Kehoe Concert - at Kehoe Park (300 N Main, Bluffton, IN) on Friday, June 5th from 8–10 PM. Enjoy a free performance by Johnny Folsom 4. Don’t forget your lawn chair and your love for great music! Food and beverage sales! These concerts are FREE to attendees. Outside alcohol is not permitted on the premise.
Get ready for a powerful night of classic country storytelling and timeless music! Johnny Folsom 4, an outstanding Johnny Cash tribute band, is bringing the legendary sound and spirit of “The Man in Black” to Kehoe Park. This free outdoor concert is part of the Kehoe Park Summer Concert Series and will take place Friday, June 5th, from 8–10 PM. From deep, driving rhythms and heartfelt ballads to the unforgettable hits that shaped American music history, Johnny Folsom 4 captures the unmistakable voice, style, and presence of Johnny Cash. Whether you’ve loved his music for decades or are discovering it for the first time, this is an evening that will feel both nostalgic and unforgettable.
Come early! Food trucks will begin serving at 7:00 PM, including D&D Fish, Big Dipper Dessert Truck, and Hideaway, offering adult beverages.
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, friends, and enjoy a summer night of iconic music along the river. Kehoe Park is located at 300 N. Main Street along the Wabash River in Bluffton, Indiana.

Splash Pads – are located at 304 E Washington St at Pickett's Run Park & 925 W Silver Street at Roush Park. Hours are 11am-7pm.
Wells Community Aquatic Park- is located at 304 West Spring Street. Pool hours are 12-6 pm 7 days a week, weather permitting, May 30th – Aug 9th, and then only open on weekends until Aug 30th. The pool is available for private rentals by calling 824-6069 or calling the pool at 824-1550. Daily Admissions: Adult (18+) $6; Youth (3-17yrs) $5; 2 & under free w/ paid ADULT (Limit 3 children per paid adult). Daily discounts are $4 admissions for all ages from 4-6pm only. Ticket Savings Package: 20 tickets for $100. Tickets are suitable for all ages and days during the 2026 season.
