This 3-hour training introduces participants to SBIRT—a comprehensive, evidence-based public health approach.

▪️NEW • 2nd Sunday • Gender Nonconforming Social & Peer Support • 4-6 pm

▪️NEW • 3rd Thursday • LGBT+ Youth/Teen Social & Peer Group (17 and under only) • 5-7 pm

▪️3rd Sunday • LGBT+ Adult Social & Peer Group (18+only) • 4-6 pm

*All are free and open to the public. Snacks and refreshments will be served.*

Knowing the signs of an opioid overdose and getting help quickly can save a life. If you suspect someone is suffering from an opioid overdose, you should call 911 immediately, begin CPR if you are able, and administer naloxone if it is available. You can request a free naloxone kit by visiting mahoninghealth.org/project-dawn or contacting our office at 330-270-2855 x125.

In recognition of Overdose Awareness Month, Mahoning County Public Health is conducting several Project DAWN events to distribute naloxone and fentanyl test strips to the community. Our first distribution event will be held this Friday, August 9th at Mahoning County Public Health (50 Westchester Drive in Austintown) from 5pm-7pm. This is a drive-thru event - please enter off Westchester Drive.
