Johann Fust Library Foundation The Johann Fust Library Foundation supports one of the premier historical landmarks on Gasparilla Island, Florida and is a beloved cultural institution.

Thank you to Professor Chrissy Kolaya and to all of the writers who attended and participated in the Library Foundation's generative class "Writing Memoir or Your Family's Story." The Johann Fust Community Library has been at the core of the Boca Grande Community for decades. After more than 75 years, the Johann Fust Library Foundation would like to share some of its rich history with the community.

In February, March, and April, the foundation offers weekly docent-guided tours of the building and grounds (weather permitting). The tours will be offered on Wednesday afternoons at 2 p.m.

The Johann Fust Library Foundation’s 2025-2026 Literary Series features author Libby Buck presenting her novel, "Port Anna," on Thursday, December 11, at 4 p.m., in the library's loggia and courtyard. Her debut novel was published by Simon & Schuster in July. She is the niece of local author and poet Alice Bingham Gorman.
