Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) recently brought our community together at B'nai Torah Congregation for a powerful morning dedicated to teen mental wellness.

Thank you to best-selling author and speaker Sophie Riegel for empowering our teens with tools to break the stigma, manage anxiety, ADHD, and OCD, and build resilience. A special thank you to our own Andrea Pittell, LCSW & Tzippi Rosen, LCSW for guiding parents through essential communication strategies and recognizing when teens need support.

This impactful, free event for families was made possible by the Bertuch Family Endowment. We are so grateful to everyone who joined the conversation!

For a young child navigating heavy emotions, healing often begins long before they have the words to explain.
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of the Women's Innovation Giving Circle, Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) has transformed how we care for our youngest clients. A heartfelt thank you to Co-Chairs Robin Rubin, Lori Gottsegen, and Melissa Hoffman for their visionary leadership in funding our brand-new play therapy room.
Instead of a traditional office, children now step into a warm sanctuary filled with art, stories, and play. Therapists can meet them right where they are, using creative tools to help kids process fear, sadness, or confusion at their own pace.
"The Women's Innovation Circle support didn't just fund a room; it created a place where children can begin to heal."

Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) is looking for volunteers to help pack and/or deliver meal kits so individuals and families in our community can celebrate with dignity and tradition. Each kit includes a pre-cooked holiday meal, challah, apples, and honey. You can choose to help with packing, delivering to just 5 to 7 local homes, or both!
Event Details & Schedule (Tuesday, September 8, 2026)
Shift 1: Packing
Time: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Location: Jacobson Family Food Pantry | 430 S. Congress Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33445
Note: All volunteers packing must wear closed-toe shoes.
Shift 2: Delivery
Time: Pick up your route between 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM (complete deliveries by 6:00 PM)

Put your creativity to work for a meaningful cause! Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) is looking for volunteers to create or color High Holiday cards that will be hand-delivered along with a festive meal to local clients on September 8th.
Earn Community Service Hours: Students earn 1 hour for every 5 cards colored or created, up to 25 cards total (5 hours max).
How to Get Started: Email [email protected] to receive the card template PDF, then drop off your finished creations at our Boca Raton office by September 7, 2026.

Our Orton-Gillingham trained tutors are skilled in supporting struggling readers, early learners, and children who benefit from structured literacy instruction.

Tutors can go to your child's school, or a preferred location, and offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
