Triangles of Truth International Project

Triangles of Truth International Project Students from around the world are honoring victims of the Holocaust by giving charity in their names to help end genocide in the world today.

Triangles of Truth (ToT) is an international movement of students who honor and remember Holocaust victims by working to end present-day genocide. Our mission is twofold: (i) to educate citizens from all walks of life in the history and lessons of genocide and (ii) to guide them as they run their own community-based fundraising campaigns to help meet the immediate humanitarian needs of current gen

ocide refugees. To date, over fifty groups and institutions across four continents have participated, realizing their powerful ability to impact the lives of others, raising $60,000 for anti-genocide civilian protection and advocacy projects. Since May 2011, Triangles of Truth has worked with i-ACT and the United Nations Refugee Agency to support primary education in the Darfuri refugee camps of Eastern Chad. Collectively, we have channeled our proceeds to sponsor geometry kits, writing implements and other necessary schools supplies. The partnership’s next project, Little Ripples, will build the first two-preschools in the region for approximately 8,000 refugee children. Participating Schools/Groups:

Every dollar donated to the project accomplishes two important goals. First, it sponsors a triangle honoring one Holocaust victim by displaying his or her name respectfully. Second, it helps end genocide in the world today by supporting the work of i-ACT and the United Nations Refugee Agency in meeting the immediate humanitarian needs of present-day victims of genocide. "It is fair to say that Unamid peacekeepers largely failed to protect Darfur civilians, and that their presence didn’t deter the government or the rebels from attacking the civilians," said Ms Elbasri.

The violence that once consumed Darfur has returned with renewed savagery, forcing a new generation into exile.

Little Ripples at one year! Beautifully moving images from the ground! Thank you to amazing partners at i-ACT and beyond.

The i-ACT team returns again to the Little Ripples school in refugee camp Goz Amer. What they find is beautiful. The teachers have made this a magical place. At a time when the camp is experiencing severe cuts in food and services, Little Ripples is a safe, fun place for children to learn and play.

The children are so small and frail standing next to me in their dirty, tattered clothes. I stand under the late afternoon sun on the sandy field, watching the top 21 Darfur United players train.
