Eighty-two years ago, American troops landed on the beaches of Normandy and launched one of the most significant military operations in history.

The courage displayed on D-Day helped secure victory for the Allied forces and preserved freedom for future generations. Today, Texas Republicans join Americans across our nation in honoring the heroes who answered the call, faced extraordinary danger, and sacrificed so much for liberty.

Their bravery reminds us that freedom is never free. We remember, we honor and we will never forget.

Lightning strike at BEC substation. We were on hand for safety but the Bandera Electric COOP employees had the situation well in hand and had the power back on promptly.
