This is an update for our Kendall County residents with a jury summons scheduled for tomorrow (12/15/25) in the 451st Judicial District Court. You are excused from jury duty as the parties have reached a settlement. We appreciate your willingness to serve and wish you a joyous holiday season.

Jurors appearing for jury duty tomorrow (1/22/25) at Kendall County’s 451st District Court need not appear. Although the Kendall County courthouse is open tomorrow, I have made the decision to cancel the 8 a.m. juror summons due to the concern of roads re-freezing overnight and the frigid temperatures we are scheduled to receive tomorrow morning. The jury scheduled for Monday (1/27/25) morning is set to proceed and I will need all hands on deck! Thank you and stay safe.

This just in … Kendall County Courthouse will be closed tomorrow (1/21/25) due to the weather.
The civil docket scheduled for tomorrow at 9:00 am and 1:30 pm will be conducted via Zoom.
As of right now, we are open for our jury trial set to begin Wednesday (1/22/25) at 8 a.m. Please check here tomorrow for an update concerning Wednesday. Be safe out there and stay warm!

Calling all summonsed for our felony Jury Trial week beginning April 24, 2023 - you need not appear! We had 13 cases on our trial docket for you. 9 accepted the State’s plea offer and 4 requested a continuance agreed upon by both parties. More hard work by your Team 451st!

Last week we hosted our first civil jury trial since the COVID-19 closure. 12 jurors plus 2 alternates diligently listened to the case and rendered a verdict. Of course, my heartfelt Thanks goes out to our Kendall County citizens willing to serve and the hard work of those chosen to serve - but I also want to Thank those who work for your Kendall County judiciary. The coordinator, clerks, bailiffs, and our court reporter work even harder during this Pandemic to see that your judiciary continues to operate. Here are two of the very nice emails the 451st received recognizing your efforts! Thank you!

Last week, 6 jurors plus 1 alternate diligently listened to the case of State of Texas v. Adelaida Trevino. The State presented its case for guilt over the course of two days in these two cases. The jury, after much deliberation, found Ms. Trevino “Guilty” of the two Class B Misdemeanor offenses- Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Ma*****na under Two Ounces. She was sentenced to two years Community Supervision. My sincerest Thank You to all our Kendall County citizens willing to serve as a juror and the hard work of those chosen to serve for disposing of these two misdemeanor offenses!
