The Pleasant Valley School serves as a historic one room school in Kendall County Texas that reflects the beginnings of our Texas Educational System and the strength and perseverance of those who came before us. As interested citizens, Alamo RCD chooses to present the historic significance of the Pleasant Valley School as a one room school built in 1885 in Kendall County, Texas. Our goals include

to educate the local community and others about:

(1) the historic exterior and interior of the Pleasant Valley School as a hallmark example of a traditional local rural one room school house building as it reflects the historical rural customs and values that have made the Hill Country what is today. (2) historic memorabilia and artifacts that provide a better understanding of the unique personal, educational and community contributions of the historic Pleasant Valley School and its patrons throughout the years. (4) the historical importance of the Pleasant Valley School as a cornerstone to the local rural community and to the Texas State educational system from the 1880s to present.

Alamo RCD is very proud to serve our Central Texas Agricultural Community.
For over 30 years we have honored our farmers and ranchers by providing outreach opportunities through our Agri-Land Resource Workshops to hundreds of farm and ranch families each year so as to improve agricultural productivity, improve agricultural management, save our lands, water and environment and enhance the well being of all of our rural communities.
Farming and Ranching provides us with
