We have a very precious friendly kitty that’s been hanging out in our backyard. Does it belong to anyone in our neighborhood? There is no collar. Appears to be well fed and healthy.

Friday afternoon it is believed a four door sedan driving into the neighborhood was speeding, left the roadway, destroyed a mailbox, and took over 100’ to re-enter the roadway. The driver has yet to come forward. We are looking into nearby video evidence.

Unfortunately, speeding is not a rare occasion in the neighborhood anymore. Multiple attempts have been made to curb the speeding issue with no consistent change in safety habits noted. The neighborhood is only becoming younger, and naturally more and more people (kids included) are out on the street being active. The last thing we need to worry about while enjoying the outdoors, is distracted illegal driving. I’m not going to wait for an accident to happen, be it fatal or not, before we do something.

I will be contacting the appropriate governing body for approval of placement of speed calming devices. I greatly appreciate your support in this matter!

When forced to choose between convenience and safety, safety will always come first!

Good morning Lake Country,

The general meeting is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, at 11:00 at the lake pavilion. Due to the ongoing social distancing this year, we will NOT be gathering with food. Please bring your own chair and be mindful of others when attending; lend plenty of space between each other.

The general meeting (usually held on the third Sunday of May) will be postponed until further notice. Given the current public climate, it is only appropriate to do so. With that, if there are any issues or topics that you feel need to be addressed, don’t hesitate to reach out to the board.

All HOA election/voting will also be postponed until the updated general meeting.
