The CDC has said some people might have the virus and not show signs, this new gear is out of an abundance of caution. If you see this, THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOUR NEIGHBOR HAS COVID-19.
So please don’t panic, this is part of the new normal for a while and we want everyone in Kendall County to be informed. Please share this information with your neighbors and community members who might not have access to social media or regular internet access.

City of Boerne - City Government
Local leaders have been talking together, along with other local and state agencies, for weeks about the COVID-19 situation. This morning, a group of 40 representatives from the Kendall County, City of Boerne, the City of Fair Oaks Ranch, Boerne ISD, emergency management and law enforcement officials, health care and first responders, the Boerne Chamber, Boerne Kendall County EDC, H-E-B and Walmart came together at Boerne’s City Hall to discuss the most recent information related to COVID-19. This group is unified on strategies to prevent the spread of the virus in our community and continues to actively monitor all area, state, and federal actions related to this emerging community health threat. With the rapidly changing information regarding this virus, going forward, representatives from these groups will coordinate daily and release updated information that impacts area residents. You will see messages coming through every avenue that can be used: websites, Facebook, emails, etc.
A couple of key messages we want everyone in our community to know:
• There is no reason to panic about the current situation.
• All of us take this COVID-19 threat very seriously and we implore people to remain calm.
• We will remain vigilant and engaged with health officials daily until this situation passes.
• We are committed to frequent, consistent and proactive communication to our community members.
• At the moment we are not in an emergency situation status.
• We endorse the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines as the key source of information on how to handle COVID-19.
• We all are operating on a daily basis as we have, with some modifications to our procedures.
• None of us know exactly what the next few weeks will hold, but we are monitoring and responding to the hourly changes as quickly as possible.
• There will be continuous communications about our plans to the entire community.
This situation has, without a doubt, changed our lives in the short run. We all believe that staying calm and responding in a cohesive fashion as a strong community, we can support each other through this to a successful conclusion.

Waring Tx Fire-Rescue
Early this morning two people incurred life threatening injuries when their car struck a tree off of FM1621. This was not how anyone wants their Valentine’s Day to end. Firefighters from Comfort, Waring, and Boerne had to extricate the driver. The rescue also involved KCEMS medics (two ambulance crews) as well as KCSO deputies, a TXDPS trooper, and a helicopter crew from Air Methods. A family member has contacted us and says the driver was not drinking.
Last week, Commissioners Court recognized Paramedic Phillip Nuncio for his 20 Years of dedicated service to the citizens and visitors of Kendall County. Phillip’s emergency medicine experience is vast. He is a Registered Nurse, Flight Paramedic, Critical Care Paramedic, and has served in other disciplines with regional Medical Helicopter Services and as a RN working in both Emergency Departments and Intensive Care Units. The very best part of Phillip is that he is always willing to pass on his knowledge, training, and experiences with anyone who asks. Phillip sets the bar high for himself and is always pushing his colleagues to be the best they can be. Please join all of us at Kendall County EMS in congratulating Phillip on his 20th Anniversary!

Getting trained first responders to the side of a patient in cardiac arrest can take an average of 5-10 minutes within the City limit and up to 30-40 minutes for those further away and less accessible to help. This is a fun video that shows the facts. Please share with your family and friends.
