Kendall County EMS (KCEMS) is a Municipal Third-Service EMS Department that provides emergency prehospital medical services to the citizens and visitors of Kendall County, encompassing 663 square miles. me Paramedics, under the clinical direction for 20+ years by Dr. Kendall Styskal M.D. and with the operational oversight of EMS Administrator/Paramedic Brian Webb. Additionally, day-to-day business is managed by EMS Administrator Assistant Elizabeth "Lissy" San Miguel with select part-time staff assisting with Field Operations and Standby Events. The Department operates 5 fully equipped BLS w/MICU capable Type-I ambulances, which are equipped with the industry’s leading equipment. We operate with 3 of the trucks on a 48/96 schedule and a day truck that is a 12 hour unit. Kendall County EMS has first responder agreements with all seven of the fire departments throughout the county. This provides faster care to the sick or injured in the remote locations in the county. In 2023, KCEMS responded to 4330 calls for service.
