🚨 SCAM ALERT — LOCAL MEAT MARKETS & BUSINESSES 🚨

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is warning local meat markets and businesses about an ongoing scam involving an individual who has been targeting meat markets in Kendall County and the San Antonio area.

The individual goes by the name “Brian” and reportedly:

🔴 Calls meat markets and places large meat orders
🔴 Provides a deposit over the phone using a credit card
🔴 Claims he is from Dallas and resells meat from his van
🔴 States that he has a website, TheMeatland.com
🔴 Arranges for the large order to be prepared and loaded into his vehicle
🔴 Leaves quickly after picking up the order — before the business discovers that the credit card is fraudulent/invalid
🔴 Has reportedly used the phone number 646-305-6774

We are aware of multiple businesses that have been targeted, and we want to make sure other businesses don’t fall victim to the same scam.

⚠️ PLEASE VERIFY LARGE PHONE ORDERS AND CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS BEFORE RELEASING ANY MERCHANDISE.

If your business has been victimized by this individual and you have surveillance footage, photographs, vehicle information, receipts, or other evidence, please contact the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office at 830-249-9721.

Please share this post with local businesses, especially meat markets and other businesses that may be targeted.

🌟 National Night Out 2026 was a HUGE success! 🌟

What a night! 🎉 We had an incredible turnout and so much fun getting to spend the evening with our community. From the smiles and conversations to the games, activities, food, and fellowship, it was a night that reminded us just how special our community truly is. 💙

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out, participated, volunteered, helped make the event possible, and spent time with us. We appreciate every family, organization, business, first responder, and community member who helped make the night such a success! 👏🏼

National Night Out is about so much more than one evening. It’s about building relationships, creating trust, and reminding each other that we are stronger when we come together. As law enforcement, we don’t just want to serve our community—we want to know our community. Spending time together outside of an emergency or call for service allows us to build the relationships that matter long before we ever need them.

The people we serve are the reason we do what we do, and nights like this are a great reminder that community policing starts with community. ❤️💙

Due to the forecasted storm and to protect the safety of our participants, volunteers, and supporters, we have rescheduled the NAMIWalks Kendall County event from this weekend to Saturday, October 31, 2026.

New Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: Patrick Heath Public Library Amphitheater

Today we want to recognize and celebrate Norma Ramirez for her years of service as our Medication Aide at the Kendall County Jail.
Norma joined our team on October 9, 2019, and for nearly seven years she has been a valued part of our jail family. If there is one thing that has always stood out about Norma, it is her willingness to give. She gives her time, her effort, and her care to the people around her without ever asking for recognition in return.

Working in a correctional environment is not always easy, and much of the work that keeps a facility running happens behind the scenes. Norma has handled an important responsibility day after day with consistency, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others.

While we are sad to see her leave the jail, we are happy to know she isn't going far. Norma will continue serving Kendall County as she begins a new position with the Kendall County Tax Office.

Norma, thank you for nearly seven years of service to the Kendall County Jail, our staff, and those entrusted to our care. We have been fortunate to have you as part of our team, and we wish you nothing but success in this next chapter.

Officer Bradley was recognized yesterday during Commissioners Court for her commitment to serving our community and caring for the animals in Kendall County.

It was an honor for us to participate alongside our fellow first responders from Boerne Fire and Boerne Police Department. We truly appreciate the opportunity to come together, support such an important organization, and be part of an event that helps make a difference in the lives of individuals and families throughout our community.

🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET | SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember a day that forever changed our nation.

Twenty-five years ago, our country watched in heartbreak as thousands of innocent lives were taken. In the midst of unimaginable tragedy, we also witnessed something that will never be forgotten—the courage of ordinary people who became heroes.

We remember the first responders who ran toward danger while others were fleeing from it. The firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics, military personnel, and civilians who answered the call without hesitation. Many made the ultimate sacrifice so that others could live.

Today, we honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who gave everything.

The events of September 11th reminded us that even in our darkest moments, the strength of our nation is found in its people—in their courage, compassion, sacrifice, and willingness to stand together.

As we go about our day, may we take a moment to remember those who never made it home, those who continue to carry the weight of that day, and those who still answer the call to serve and protect.

We will never forget the lives lost.
We will never forget the heroes.
We will never forget.

Tonight as our community gathers for the Comfort Homecoming Parade, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and Constable Bryan Vaughan are proud to lead the procession with a special tribute to a true public servant and local icon.

Leading tonight's procession is the Kendall County Constable, and Sheriff's Office, honoring the memory of Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Judge Frieda Pressler. We thank her family and honor her four decades of unwavering public service and heart for Comfort.

A proud graduate of the Comfort High School Class of 1974, Judge Pressler spent 40 years serving our county with integrity, dedication, and a deep love for the people of Precinct 4. Her legacy of devotion to her hometown and community will never be forgotten.

Please join Constable Vaughan, our deputies, and the entire Sheriff's Office tonight in keeping her family, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers as we honor her memory together as a community.
