Our May meeting and luncheon was a special celebration of scholarship and the bright future of our community. Members gathered to recognize all of this year’s scholarship recipients, including Elle Chalmers, recipient of the Barbara Racinowski Scholarship.

We also proudly honored Scholarship Chair Mary Fox for her dedication and leadership in helping guide and grow this important program. Her hard work and commitment continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of local students.

It was a meaningful experience recognizing achievement, service, and the next generation of leaders in Kendall County.

KCRP, KCRW, and KCRC were proud to present a $1,000 academic scholarship to Liza Bachicha of Champion High School during last night’s awards ceremony. Liza will attend the University of Mississippi in Oxford this fall, and we wish her all the best as she begins this exciting next chapter.

In partnership with KCRP and KCRC, KCRW is proud to support the next generation through our annual scholarship program, one of the most meaningful and impactful things we do as a club.
This year’s recipients represent outstanding students who have distinguished themselves through academic achievement, leadership, service, and involvement in their schools and communities. We are especially proud to award the Barbara Racinowski Scholarship to Elle Chalmers of Geneva School of Boerne, in honor of our Past President, whose life reflected service, strength, and a deep commitment to community.
Also recognized at Geneva were Sopris Oglesby and Margaret Deimund, each receiving academic scholarships. Additional presentations will take place at Boerne, Champion, and Comfort high schools.
We are proud to celebrate these students and the values and future they represent.
