Please be advised that the City of Boiling Spring Lakes Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, May 28th, beginning at 6:00 PM at City Hall. The purpose of this Special Meeting is to discuss the City Manager position. The meeting will begin in open session and then move into closed session pursuant to NCGS § 143-318.11(a)(6) to consider the qualifications, competence, performance, character, fitness, conditions of appointment, or initial employment of prospective public employees or officers.

Please be advised that Upper Lake Dam Rd. will be temporarily closed to through traffic beginning May 20, 2026, to allow for a thorough road surface evaluation. Barricades will be installed to restrict access, and only first responders and city officials will be permitted to use the road for emergencies and official business until further notice. BOC Budget Workshop and Special Meeting May 20th

The Boiling Spring Lakes Board of Commissioners will hold a Budget Workshop on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM at City Hall.

Immediately following the Budget Workshop, the Board will convene a Special Meeting which will go into Closed Session to discuss personnel matters per NCGS § 143-318.11(a)(6).

The public is invited to attend the open portions of the meeting. Closed session will be held in accordance with applicable provisions of the North Carolina Open Meetings Law.

A Legislative hearing shall be held on May 12, 2026 at 6:30 pm at City Hall, 9 East Boiling Spring Road, to hear and invite public comment with regard to proposed text amendments to the City’s Unified Development Ordinance:

The purpose of this hearing is to consider text amendments to Article 7, Appendix A, and Appendix B of the City’s Unified Development Ordinance to help support the conservation of Venus flytrap populations within the City.
