🚗MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT🚗

This evening at approximately 6:20 PM, crews were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a passenger vehicle and a mule-drawn wagon in the 3400 block of Cliffside Road.

Units from Station 23 arrived on scene to find a two-vehicle collision with the wagon overturned. Fire and EMS personnel provided patient care, and those injured were transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

All three mules were assessed on scene and were found to have little to no injuries.

🚙 MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT 🚙

At approximately 10:00 a.m. this morning, Station 23 responded to a motor vehicle accident with reported entrapment in the 2300 block of Gaffney Road. Squad 23 arrived on scene and quickly initiated extrication efforts. The patient was successfully removed and transferred to EMS for further evaluation.

👀🔥BURN BAN STILL IN EFFECT👀🔥
This is a reminder that the burn ban remains in effect. Crews responded last evening to a woods fire that had spread beyond control. A quick knockdown was achieved, and the North Carolina Forest Service was notified to assist.

🚨 Motor Vehicle Accident 🚨

At approximately 10:45 a.m. this morning, units responded to a reported motor vehicle accident around the 2500 block of Gaffney Road.

Upon arrival, Squad 23 found a three-vehicle collision. Cleveland County EMS evaluated those involved, with only minor injuries reported.

🚗MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT🚗

Last night, just before 8:00 PM, Station 23 was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident in the 2200 block of Gaffney Road. Squad 23 arrived on scene to find a single vehicle with significant passenger-side damage. One patient was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

🔥🛑STATEWIDE BURN BAN🛑🔥
The statewide burning ban went into effect at 6pm this evening. If you currently have a burn permit it will be suspended until the ban has lifted.

Due to increased wildfire risk, the N.C. Forest Service has issued a ban on all open burning and has canceled all burning permits statewide effective 6 p.m. Saturday, March 28 until further notice.

Under North Carolina law, the ban prohibits all open burning in the affected counties, regardless of whether a permit was previously issued. The issuance of any new permits has also been suspended until the ban is lifted. Anyone violating the burn ban faces a $100 fine plus $183 court costs. Any person responsible for setting a fire may be liable for any expenses related to extinguishing the fire.

The burn ban does not apply to fires started within 100 feet of an occupied dwelling. The local fire marshal has authority to issue a burn ban within those 100 feet.
