When you're out on your bike - particularly e-bikes or e-scooters - its important to remember our Greenbelt and other pathways are for everyone. Don't be a speed demon: share the path, wear a helmet and slow dow.

We just received the Gold Peak Performance Award from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies for achieving 100% compliance with clean water standards in 2025. For the second year in a row, Boise is the only city in Idaho to earn a Peak Performance Award, reflecting the city’s commitment to protect the health of the Boise River and our community.

Today, we broke ground on The Sherwood, the first permanent supportive housing development in Idaho that focuses solely on families with children exiting homelessness. The new building will have 2- and 3-bedroom apartments and includes a day care center and space for CATCH and Terry Reilly providers, allowing families to use preventative healthcare services on site.

“The Sherwood is a result of years of collaboration, with the city providing land through our Land Trust, investing in the project, and working alongside dedicated nonprofit, health care, housing and community partners to bring more homes to more families,” said Mayor Lauren McLean. “It's another example of how public-private partnerships are helping address one of Boise's greatest challenges.”

Work has begun on the pathway in Southeast Boise along E. Parkriver Dr. from S. Temperance Way to E. Rivernest Court. This Greenbelt improvement project will replace the existing asphalt pathway at Wood Duck Island with smooth concrete connecting to Barber Park. Greenbelt users are asked to detour around the construction via the adjacent roadway. Please be alert, mindful of all posted signage and stay out of fenced areas for everyone's safety. Thank you for your patience while this important improvement project is completed.

When was the last time you changed your HVAC filter? A dirty filter forces your air conditioning to work harder, use more energy and remove fewer allergens from the air. To save energy and keep your air clean, change your filter every 3-6 months.

Climate action starts with all of us. When we work together, small choices can lead to big change. This is your place to get inspired and get involved.
