🍎Nutrition care is a team effort.

Malnutrition Awareness Week is September 14–18, 2026, and it’s an important reminder for all of us especially older adults and the people who care for them.

Critically ill seniors are at a much higher risk of malnutrition, which can make recovery harder and affect overall health and independence.

This week, we’re encouraging Idaho families, caregivers, and community members to learn the signs of malnutrition and make nutrition part of every care plan.

Small steps like checking in & offering support, and staying informed can make a big difference.

Elder abuse is preventable, but only if we act.

If you suspect an older adult is being harmed or exploited, speak up.

One voice can make a difference. One report can change a life.

This June, let’s commit to noticing, speaking up, and protecting our older neighbors, friends, and family members.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day

June 15th is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day—a global call to action to stand against the abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older adults.

We all deserve to lead happy and healthy lives free from abuse as we age, yet older people are mistreated more often than we think.

Today is a reminder that silence allows abuse to continue. Speaking up can stop harm and connect vulnerable adults with help and support.

June 3rd:

June is Elder Abuse Awareness Month- A time to recognize, prevent, and speak up about abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older adults in our communities.

If you suspect abuse, trust your instincts and report it. You could help protect someone who cannot safely speak up for themselves.
