Thank you, Treasure Valley Subaru, for partnering with us at Miller's Mission to donate 1203 pounds of food and groceries and for volunteering to build 2,000 sandwiches for our guests' lunches! Your generosity is absolutely incredible and will provide hundreds of men, women, and children with healthy meals and much-needed toiletry items. Kelsey is Boise Rescue Mission's Kids Program Director, and a graduate of the New Life Program.

"We're gearing up for our kids summer programs right now, and this year we're adding a lot to what we've already been doing. We've built a STEM lab for the Kids Program, with 3D printers and laser engravers. We'll be doing guitar class and sewing class this summer. It's pretty awesome, they're really special programs."

"A long time ago we didn't have specialized kids programming and only about 20% of the kids in our shelters were graduating high school. Now, it's almost 100%. We have ten high school graduates just this year."

"By the time they're done with their Kids Program, they'll probably see at least 20 to 25 different higher education opportunities — everything from technical schools, cosmetology schools, local colleges, and many even in neighboring states. It's so exciting to watch these kids discover how much they can achieve."

"I work as a Resident Advisor at the Mission and one of my tasks is to order supplies for the River of Life. I see how important donations are every day, because I see how much is needed to provide for the men that stay with us. Sometimes they walk in with nothing but the clothes on their back." Says Matthew, who is also a graduate of the Mission's New Life Program.

"It reminds me of where I was. I see that brokenness and I get a chance to share my testimony with them, and to get them the things they need. I've been there and I can provide them some hope. And if they're struggling with substance abuse like I did, I can refer them to the New Life Program which changed my life forever."

"For veterans, when you’ve had a brush with a greater purpose and then it’s taken away from you, it can be a big issue. A big part of the Veterans Ministry Program is identifying areas that we can get people plugged back into community; somewhere they can have a mission. It’s not just housing, there's a whole number of issues that have to be addressed." Says Nate, our Veterans Ministry Program manager.
