The holidays can be joyful—but they can also be overwhelming. 💚 Taking care of your mental health during the holidays means checking in with your feelings, setting boundaries, staying connected to your community, and knowing when to ask for help. Prioritizing your wellbeing isn’t selfish—it’s necessary.

Merry Christmas 🎄 to those celebrating.
And care for those for whom today feels heavy, quiet, or complicated.

Christmas doesn’t land the same way for everyone. For many, the holiday season can bring mixed emotions, grief, stress, or a need for rest. If you’re navigating holiday mental health, emotional overwhelm, or simply choosing a quieter Christmas, you are allowed to honor what you need.

At Healing Journey Collective, we believe mental health care during the holidays starts with compassion and permission. Whether you’re celebrating fully, opting out, or staying in bed today, your nervous system matters more than tradition.

However this day meets you, may care come first 🤍

Gratitude and longing: You can want more without despising what you have.

Fear and readiness: Courage often begins while still afraid.

Tenderness and rage: Love doesn’t erase anger; it gives it direction.

Joy and guilt: It’s possible to laugh while carrying loss.

Detachment and care: You can let go and still love deeply.

Faith and exhaustion: Belief often survives on empty.

Meaning and absurdity: Life can make no sense and still be worth living.
