Training for the moments that matter most.

Airmen from the 124th Medical Group sharpened lifesaving trauma skills during advanced, hands-on training in Hawaii alongside Army, Air Force and Navy service members.

The realistic training gave Airmen experience they cannot easily replicate at home station, building confidence before lives are on the line.

Kinda chic to know how to save a life.

Tactical Combat Casualty Care, or TCCC, prepares Airman to provide lifesaving care when and where it matters most.

TCCC training is built around three phases of care: Care Under Fire, Tactical Field Care and Tactical Evacuation Care. Each phase teaches Airman how to assess the situation, prioritize life threatening injuries and provide the appropriate level of care as conditions change.

To help TCCC-trained Airmen remember the proper order of treatment, they use the acronym MARCH. It stands for:

M – Massive Hemorrhage
A – Airway
R – Respiration
C – Circulation
H – Hypothermia / Head injury
