From our state and nationally recognized schools and rigorous academic programs, including our state and national leading Advanced Placement course offerings, award-winning Treasure Valley Mathematics and Science Center, nationally recognized Dennis Professional-

Technical Education Center, nationally-recognized music program, to our stand-out athletic programs, there's something for everyone at BSD. BSD is 32 elementary schools, eight junior high schools, four traditional high schools, one alternative school and a multitude of other school-choice program offerings. For the 8th consecutive year, all four of Boise School District's traditional high schools appear in The Washington Post's annual listing of America's best high schools for effectively preparing students for college. Boise, Borah, Capital, and Timberline high schools rank among the top 9-percent of approximately 22,000 public high schools in the U.S. The District's music education program has also earned national recognition. The NAMM Foundation acknowledged the District for its commitment to and support for music education in schools. Boise School District is the only school district in Idaho to have been selected for this national recognition.

🏆 NATIONAL CHAMPION! 🏆

Capital High School, recent 2026 graduate, Eden Francis continues to make Boise proud! Eden captured the 2026 USATF National Championship in the 17–18 Women’s Heptathlon, winning an incredibly close competition by just seven points.

From competing as a Capital Eagle to standing atop the national podium, Eden’s hard work, determination and versatility have helped her reach an incredible milestone — and now she’s taking that talent to her next chapter in Moscow. 🦅➡️🏆

Congratulations, Eden! We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next! 💙

🎉 Boise School District students are shining on the international stage!

This summer, 33 students from Boise High, Borah High, Timberline High and Dennis Technical Education Center traveled to Indianapolis for the 2026 HOSA International Leadership Conference, competing alongside future health professionals from across the country and around the world.

👏 A special congratulations to our internationally recognized students:

🥇 Gabriella Randolph, Boise High School — Gold in Hilarity for Charity & Health Care Issues Exam and Top 10% of scorers

⭐ Kaylee Hahn, Borah High School — Top 10 in Nursing Assisting

We’re proud of all 33 students who represented Boise Schools while putting their healthcare knowledge, clinical skills and leadership to the test. Their achievements are a great reminder that learning, leadership and student success continue year-round in Boise Schools, not just during the school year.

These are the kinds of hands-on, career-connected learning experiences that help prepare students for college, careers and life! 💚💙

At the 2026 FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. this July, Boise students proudly represented their schools and the state of Idaho with excellence.

👏 Congratulations to:

🥇 Akshara Nataraj, Boise High School — Gold medal and 4th in the nation in Nutrition & Wellness
🥈 Ella Liese and Harper Lanningham, Capital High School — Silver medals in Focus on Children
🥈 Aylah Johnson, Capital High School — Silver medal in Career Investigation
⭐ Mazzy Kennedy, Capital High School — Selected as an FCCLA National Student Ambassador and awarded one of only 12 full ambassador scholarships nationwide
