The highest level of anything scientific describing what stuff is and what to call it begins at the unfathomably small size of ten to the minus thirty-five meters placing us well inside and deep of the smallest atomic matter we know of. There is no math (by me) here but you are welcome to jump in with the required graduate level calculations if you can and it is just pure imagination anyway. They describe it as singing or notes being played by vibrating strings. An alphabet beginning to form. The next level starts with a particle zoo and there is some bad news if you have a twenty-year-old chemistry degree. You will need a quick update and introduction to the new or at least unalienable addition to the periodic table of elements we all grew up with, and an understanding of these quarks, leptons and bosons. And don’t forget the big discovery in 2012 at Geneva which has not quite “unified” any thing but now has a place on the wall. This is the last level we will narrate without the high nuclear math that explains how the atomic collisions and the trails they leave, in these accelerators “prove” that a God particle exists, as a “Gigavolt “, when the rest simply watch it on the Discovery Channel. In my opinion we are seeing the first codified message being built and the beginning of being a part of something but not yet existing. And now we explode twenty orders of magnitude, becoming much much larger, finally reaching the atomic nucleus, and our first three toys in God’s box of things, the mighty proton, neutron and electron. While it is true that things keep getting smaller and smaller until they get even tinnier still, the truth is at around ten to minus ten and twelve power, meters, smaller than DNA by far but just at the outer edges of the dance we are about to see . . . something happens. You explode into a violent kingdom of unfathomable speed, construct and power that is like standing in deep space watching stars colliding with planets and supernovas being formed. Before dying in nineteen sixty-one after a heroic mathematical achievement Erwin Schrodinger explained that he could not at all explain what these equations where actually describing and even admitted they would only work for the first two super machines, hydrogen and helium. I am finally equipped to agree with him. We actually describe positive and negative in the exact empirical way we describe love and hate and that they are “everywhere”. My words because I have a lifetime of listening to the highest order of scientists describe this phenomenon of where matter begins, and grow tired of the effort. If you can do something like tell hate to assemble itself into a sphere and love to make another particle, in physical existence, with mass and totally opposite, then you have just described the electron and proton as we do, having no idea what they really are. The electron then smashes into the proton and begins a form of two realities at once. The shapes formed are precision as they are pristine, making standing pure energy “probability” waves that describe pure magic and nothing else. It is called quantum existence and “dual” wave particle, the same. Again, I grow weary of the explanations available. I therefore speculate on my own, that this is the actual formation of laws and rules being assigned and taking physical form and having design and construct. Spoken into existence the atom still retains the title of the fundamental unit of matter and is the first thing to act like the smallest piece of rock wood or water that we were looking for in the first place. If you can capture a single atom and a small rock, for one hour, you can expect both things to still be the same thing they were sixty minutes ago. If you take the atom apart the proton only lasts about twenty minutes and the electron goes back to being everywhere
