When wildfire smoke fills the air, we notice the smell, the grey horizon, and the dry taste in our mouth. But the real danger lies in what you can't see. Wildfire smoke contains microscopic particles (PM_2.5) that pe*****te deep into your body, affecting far more than just your throat.
🫁 How Smoke Affects Your Lungs
Fine particles settle deep inside the lungs, triggering immediate inflammation.
Symptoms: Throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath.
High Risk: Individuals with asthma, COPD, or chronic bronchitis face severe risk of symptom flare-ups.
