EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!
Come one, come all!

The Boley Progress was brought to life at Prosperity Junction at The Cowboy, blending the voices of the past with the vision of the future.

Inspired by the historic Boley Progress newspaper, the experience highlighted actual articles and stories that once chronicled the life, triumphs, businesses, culture, and spirit of Historic Boley, Oklahoma, one of America’s most remarkable Black towns.

Visitors stepped into the headlines of yesterday while exploring the progress of today and the possibilities of tomorrow. Through authentic newspaper features, storytelling, and interpretation, The Boley Progress honored the legacy of a community built on resilience, entrepreneurship, and determination.

The exhibit brought history to life, where the pages of the past met the promise of the future, at Prosperity Junction at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.

A powerful step forward for Historic Boley, Oklahoma.

After years of partnership in marriage, ministry, and business, Tarrance and Jacqueline Floyd are proud to announce the land clearing for the Boley Bear Plaza, a transformative development that will include a Phillips 66 gas station, convenience store, restaurant, 9-room hotel, and the Boley Welcome Center along the Historic Oklahoma Civil Rights Trail.

This moment represents more than development, it represents vision, commitment, and legacy.

This project is made possible through the private investment and leadership of the Floyd family, whose continued commitment is helping drive real progress in the town.

The Boley Welcome Center is being supported through a $50,000 grant from the Oklahoma Historical Society’s Civil Rights Trail Grant Program, secured by Project 2020 Foundation, helping to anchor Boley’s place on the Historic Oklahoma Civil Rights Trail.

Jacqueline Floyd, a proud Boley alumna, along with Tarrance Floyd, have been major contributors to the revitalization of Boley, supporting not only economic development, but also cultural preservation through initiatives like the Boley Rodeo.

This is how legacy is built, through action!!!

Stay tuned for the official groundbreaking as this vision rises from the ground in Boley.
