🚧 STORM RECOVERY UPDATE – JUNE 12, 2026 2:00 PM 🚧
The Village of Bolingbrook Public Works Department is transitioning from emergency storm response operations into community-wide cleanup and recovery efforts following the June 10 and June 11 severe weather events.
➡️Beginning Monday, June 15, Public Works crews will begin a coordinated storm debris collection program throughout the Village.
Due to the volume of debris and the number of locations affected, cleanup operations are expected to continue through Friday, June 26, 2026.

🌳Residents requiring assistance with storm-related tree limbs, branches, and natural vegetative debris are encouraged to contact the Public Works Department as soon as possible to schedule a pickup.
📞 Public Works Department: (630) 226-8800
📧 [email protected]
Scheduling pickups allows crews to identify affected locations, coordinate collection routes, and provide the most efficient service possible to residents.
⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
• All debris must be moved to the curb for collection.
• Public Works crews will not enter private property to remove debris.
• Debris should be cut into manageable lengths and bundled whenever possible.
• Collection is limited to storm-related tree limbs, branches, and natural vegetative debris resulting from the June 10 and June 11 storm events.
• Residents should contact Public Works and prepare debris for collection no later than June 26, 2026.
❌ Public Works will not collect:
• Whole trees on private property.
• Fallen trees located within residential yards.
• Stumps, root balls, or large tree trunk sections.
• Fences, sheds, landscaping structures, or other private property damage.
• Contractor debris, construction materials, household refuse, or non-storm-related yard waste.
➡️Please note that this is a limited storm recovery operation intended to address debris resulting from the June 10 and June 11 storm events. Requests received after the conclusion of the program may not be eligible for collection under this special cleanup effort.
Public Works appreciates the patience and cooperation of our residents as crews continue working to restore the community. Our goal is to ensure all affected areas receive attention as quickly, safely, and efficiently as possible.
Thank you for your continued support as we recover from these storm events.

🚨 STORM RECOVERY UPDATE FOR BOLINGBROOK RESIDENTS 🚨
The Village of Bolingbrook understands that many residents experienced storm-related damage from the severe weather events on June 10 and June 11. Public Works crews have been working continuously to respond to emergencies, clear roadways, address flooding, and restore safe conditions throughout the community.
As part of the Village's storm recovery efforts, Public Works will assist residents with the collection of storm-related tree limbs, branches, and natural vegetative debris.
📞 Residents requesting collection are asked to contact Public Works to schedule a pickup:
• Phone: (630) 226-8800
• Email: [email protected]
Scheduling pickups allows staff to identify affected locations, coordinate collection routes, and provide the most efficient service possible.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: ALL DEBRIS MUST BE MOVED TO THE CURB
Residents are responsible for moving all storm debris from private property to the curb line for collection. Public Works crews will not enter private property, residential yards, easements, or landscaped areas to remove debris.
Any debris remaining on private property will not be collected. To be eligible for pickup, debris must be placed at the curb and prepared in accordance with the guidelines below.
✅ ACCEPTED DEBRIS:
• Tree limbs, branches, and natural vegetative debris resulting from the June 10 and June 11 storm events
• Debris cut into manageable lengths
• Bundled and securely tied whenever possible
• Debris placed at the curb for collection
❌ ITEMS THAT WILL NOT BE COLLECTED:
• Whole trees located on private property
