OPERATION CHRISTMAS: BOLINGBROOK (OCB) is a non-profit organization that has been dedicated to our community for 49 years under the tax umbrella of Community Service Council. OCB involves many volunteers from Bolingbrook and the surrounding areas. It takes an exceptional effort each year to ensure that each struggling family during the Christmas season receives the assistance they so greatly need.
In 2021, OCB served over 369 including 1029 children, with every donation coming from local businesses, community groups, and individual families. OCB believe that giving within our community will ultimately build a stronger and more sustainable community in return. HOW OPERATION CHRISTMAS: BOLINGBROOK WORKS:
Families needing assistance begin the registration process by submitting family information online starting in October. Once registered and approved, a member of the family will come through at a scheduled time and pick-up their available gifts. Each qualified child will receive new gifts and stocking stuffers. Each family will receive a box of groceries and a $10 gift certificate towards a ham or turkey for their Christmas dinner.
