From honoring our heroes to celebrating community milestones, this week showcased the heart, pride, and spirit that make Bolingbrook such a special place to call home.
💙Memorial Day Ceremonies
We honored and remembered the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country during Memorial Day ceremonies at Boardman Cemetery, Hillcrest Cemetery, and the Veterans Memorial at the Bolingbrook Town Center. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so meaningful. We will never forget those who gave their lives to protect our freedoms.
🚜 Public Works Open House
Thank you to our incredible Public Works team for hosting another successful Open House! Families enjoyed exploring the facility, climbing on trucks, participating in activities, and enjoying hot dogs, popcorn, and giveaways. It was a wonderful opportunity for residents to learn more about the important work our Public Works staff does every day.
🚲 Family Bike Day
What a fantastic event at Indian Boundary Park hosted by the Bolingbrook Police Department! From live music and raffles to five lucky bike winners, it was a day filled with smiles, fun, and community spirit. We are grateful for our dedicated Police Department and their strong connection with our residents.
🏈 Lady Raiders Girls Flag Football Tournament
Had the opportunity to cheer on the Lady Raiders Girls Flag Football team during their tournament at Jane Addams Middle School. It was great seeing the athletes compete and represent our community so well!
🏛️ Village Board Meeting
This week’s Board Meeting celebrated many accomplishments across our community, including:
• Welcoming Charlena Griggs and Lawrence Devereux as Bolingbrook Arts Council Commissioners
• Appointing Maricela Martinez to the Special Events Commission
• Introducing the Pride Month Proclamation alongside community representatives
• Presenting the Philippine Independence Day & Filipino Culture Proclamation
• Celebrating the 2026 Arbor Day Coloring Contest winners and their families. Congratulations!

🕌 Eid al-Adha Celebration
Honored to celebrate Eid al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, with community members and leadership at Masjid Al-Jumu'ah.
🎤 PechaKucha – America 250 Special
Attended the America 250 PechaKucha event at Ashbury’s, celebrating 250 years of the American journey and highlighting the local voices, stories, and milestones that continue to shape Bolingbrook for generations to come.
🤝 Community Meetings & Collaboration
This week also included resident meetings, discussions with our Fire and Police Departments, Fourth of July planning at the Bolingbrook Golf Club, and more.
✂️ Grand Opening Celebration at Pinkney Realty Group
We were excited to celebrate the Ribbon Cutting for Pinkney Realty Group at their beautiful new location in the Promenade at 631 E. Boughton Rd. Welcome to Bolingbrook!
