🚰 Bolingbrook Residents: Make Your Voice Heard Against the Proposed Illinois American Water Rate Increase! The fight continues — and your voice matters. Join us on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Bolingbrook Community Center (201 Canterbury Lane) for a second opportunity to speak out against the proposed Illinois American Water rate increase. Many residents were unable to share their comments during the first Public Forum due to time constraints and capacity limits. This is another chance for our community to be heard by the Illinois Commerce Commission and send a clear message: “Enough is Enough.”
📢 Attend the Public Forum in person and make your voice heard.
💻 Please also submit an online public comment so your opposition is officially included in the case:https://icc.illinois.gov/docket/P2026-0127/comment-on-a-case
Together, we can stand up for Bolingbrook residents and ensure our voices are heard.

It was another wonderful week in Bolingbrook, and I’m excited to share some of the highlights with you!
🏈 Bolingbrook High School Football Game
On Friday, our Bolingbrook High School Raiders Football Team played their first game of the season. I’m always proud to support our student athletes and cheer them on. Go Raiders!
🌟 On Saturday, I had a very busy and wonderful day attending five major events in our community, including:
🏃The Bolingbrook Park District’s Annual Parkie’s 5K/1 Mile Run which was a huge success! Residents came together for a great morning of fitness, family, fun, and community while celebrating health and wellness.
🎉 The Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex (BRAC) celebrated its 30th Anniversary and held a Ribbon Cutting for the newly opened Functional Fitness Zone. Congratulations to BRAC on 30 wonderful years of serving our community and making fitness fun!
🎖️ Congratulations to Bolingbrook’s VFW Post 5917 on celebrating its 50th Anniversary! It was wonderful to join local leaders, Veterans, and community members for this special luncheon. Thank you to our Veterans for your service and continued commitment to our community.
🎶 Joined the Summer Swag House Music + Food Festival – Good Vibe Fest, hosted by Ryze2Flye at the Bolingbrook Performing Arts Center. Village Trustee Troy Doris even showed off his skills as DJ TJ, bringing some great house music to this fun summer day party!
☀️ Visited Masjid Al-Jumu’ah for the Bolingbrook Muslim Community Summer Fest. It was wonderful to spend time together and celebrate the diversity that makes Bolingbrook such a special and welcoming place to live.
🎪Then on Sunday, I stopped by the Unity Fest Picnic at Re*****on Park, a free event bringing residents and families of all ages and backgrounds together for music, entertainment, games, food, fun, and meaningful community connections.
🌟The rest of the week brought more meaningful and important moments, including:
🚒 I was honored to welcome Firefighter/Paramedic Logan Rooney to the Bolingbrook Fire Department during his swearing-in ceremony. Welcome, Logan, to the Village of Bolingbrook, and thank you for taking the oath to faithfully serve our community, protect life and property, act with integrity, and be there when someone needs you most.
👮I was happy to support the Bolingbrook Police Department’s Golf Outing at the Bolingbrook Golf Club, benefiting the Bolingbrook Benevolent Society! Many came together for this special outing, raising funds to help this nonprofit organization provide charitable aid, financial relief, and social support to Bolingbrook police officers in need.
📚 The Non-Profit Coalition gathered much-needed items for the nurses’ offices at our local schools serving Bolingbrook students. I was happy to help make deliveries to John F. Kennedy Middle School, Liberty Elementary School, Eichelberger Elementary School, and Pioneer Elementary School. Everyone was so grateful for these important resources for their students.
🙏 The Bolingbrook Romeoville Christian Clergy Association stopped by to talk about our community and join in prayer for our Village and residents. I truly appreciate their care and commitment to our community.
🎣 I enjoyed visiting with seniors from the DuPage Township Senior Levy Center during their second Fishing Day at the Town Center Pond. It was great to see everyone enjoying a beautiful day together!
