Bolivar R-I Schools

Bolivar R-I Schools Mission: Working together to prepare every student for success.

Vision: A learning community ensuring all students are purpose-driven and life-ready graduates.
- Bolivar Schools - The Bolivar R-I School District is located in southwest Missouri, 25 miles north of Springfield on Highway 13. Five attendance centers (Pre-K, K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12) serve the educational needs of about 2,575 students. The district also has an alternative school to meet the needs of

students that have not been successful in a regular classroom. The district provides educational services to students placed by the courts and Department of Mental Health in the HOOPS program, a group home, as well as a juvenile detention center. A tradition of excellence in academics and a focus on effective instructional techniques is demonstrated through recognition for distinction in performance by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The infusion of technology is evident in each of the attendance centers and remains a focus of the Board of Education and the administration. Students enrolled in a large variety of co-curricular and extracurricular programs compete successfully in the Ozark Mountain Conference, recognized as one of the premier athletic conferences in Missouri. Bolivar, with a population of more than 10,000, is blessed with close proximity to both Stockton and Pomme de Terre lakes providing numerous opportunities for recreation. As the county seat of Polk County, Bolivar is the home of many restaurants and retail shops, a state of the art library and a newly constructed YMCA. Since Bolivar is the home of Southwest Baptist University and Citizens Memorial Hospital, a multitude of cultural opportunities and excellent medical care are available. The district enjoys strong community support as demonstrated by the current building projects that are adding classroom space at three of the attendance centers. The additional classroom space will allow the district to maintain appropriate teacher-student ratios for the growing district.

One of our favorite traditions! The Class of 2026 returned to where their journey began, walking through the halls of our school buildings! These seniors didn't just celebrate how far they’ve comeβ€”they inspired our younger students to see what’s possible.

Thank you, seniors, for being incredible role models. The future is yours! πŸŽ“πŸŒŸ
