On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, we proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting of our new Polk County Central Dispatch facility; an incredible milestone years in the making.

This moment represents far more than a new building. It reflects the dedication, resilience, and teamwork of so many who believe in the mission of public safety and the importance of serving our community at the highest level.

We are deeply grateful to our public safety partners for standing beside us; not only during this event, but every single day. Your commitment, collaboration, and shared purpose are what make our work possible, and we are honored to serve alongside each of you.

A special thank you to 57th Governor Mike Parson, Senator Lincoln Hough, and Senator Sandy Crawford for your continued support and for helping make this vision a reality. Your investment in public safety has left a lasting impact on our community.

We would also like to thank Hoefer Welker and Crossland Construction for their partnership and expertise in bringing this facility to life. Your work has helped create a space that will serve this region for generations to come.

This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, and we want to take a moment to recognize the first voices you hear when you have an emergency.

Those same voices work to notify our police officers and firefighters, send them directions, relate essential information from the scene, get our first responders the resources they need to help you, and more.

The people who work with Polk County Central Dispatch often don't get the recognition they deserve, and we want to take a moment to say "THANK YOU" to them for all they do!
