Courtesy post from Bolivar Richburg Water System:
By now everyone should be getting letters (see below), regarding the upcoming repair and flushing of hydrants.
Dear Water Customer:
We wanted to inform you that starting the week of June 15th, the Bolivar water plant will undergo repairs and will be offline for approximately one week. At this point we are anticipating water to still be available; however we are asking that starting the beginning of June, you limit your use. The water supplied will be coming from the Richburg springs, and although we do not anticipate the supply to run low, we are asking for your help to prevent that.
To also prepare for these repairs, all of the hydrants will be getting flushed. This should start in the beginning of June.
Please call the office with any questions and thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Sincerely,
Bolivar Richburg Water System
Hydrant flushing has already started and if you do experience brown water, you can run the water until it becomes clear even though the letter does ask everyone to try and limit use of the water. The flushing of the hydrants should be completed within this week.
If you have any questions, feel free to call the office.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
