đźš— Avoid driving with extra passengers

Grant-Funded AEDs Strengthen Public Safety Efforts

We are proud to announce that our agency has received Automated External Defibrillators (AED's) through grant funding to enhance emergency medical response throughout our county. For the past two years, Hardeman County Mayor Todd Pulse has worked closely with the State of Tennessee to secure grant funding for our county. Mayor Pulse has also worked alongside Sheriff Doolen to assess the Sheriff's Office needs and apply for state funding to help meet those needs.
These AEDs will be placed in each patrol unit, allowing deputies to provide immediate lifesaving assistance during cardiac emergencies while awaiting EMS arrival. Quick access to an AED can make a critical difference when every second counts.
We are grateful for the grant funding that made this possible and remain committed to equipping our deputies with the tools and training needed to better serve and protect our citizens.

This summer, Jena will be spending her college break working with Southwestern Advantage, gaining real-world experience through hard work, communication, and entrepreneurship. As part of the program, she will be going door to door throughout the county offering educational children’s books and learning materials for families.

Jena is a dedicated college student taking advantage of an opportunity to build leadership and business skills while helping provide educational resources to children. We encourage everyone to be welcoming and supportive as she works through the area this summer.

We wish Jena the best of luck and appreciate her positive attitude and strong work ethic!

Jena will be driving a white Honda C-HR with an Arizona license plate.
