The Public Administrator serves as the Court appointed guardian and/or conservator for individuals who have physical and/or mental disabilities or developmental disabilities AND have no family member that is willing or able to oversee their needs. A public administrator is an advocate for their clients. A public administrator protects these individuals from abuse, neglect and exploitation and over

see the individuals healthcare and financial decisions on their behalf. Our office ensures that they are receiving adequate care and that their healthcare needs are being met through agencies that provide support to these individuals.

I have been working at the Polk county courthouse since 1988, the last 20 bring YOUR Public Administrator. By no mistake, my education, training and daily experiences align perfectly with this job. My position puts me in high stress and even extremely dangerous situations at times and I have experience functioning well in that type of environment. I also have 20 years experience of dealing with things such as daily crisis with clients and I handle myself in the most professional way. I promise you that I will exercise this same level of dedication, advocacy and strength under pressure to protect the interests of those served by my office! Did you know that the public Administrator travels all over the state visiting clients and attending care plan meetings? not all are located in Polk County because we don’t have any psych beds in Southwest Missouri. I have them as far as St. Louis Moberly, Hannibal, Kansas City, and senate
