🇺🇸 Did you miss our June Networking@Noon event? If so, you may have missed some exciting news!

This month's program focused on local ways to celebrate America's Semiquincentennial. Attendees heard about the Bolivar Rotary Club's Celebration of Freedom and the City of Bolivar's Time Capsule Project, both designed to commemorate our nation's 250th anniversary.

The Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce was also excited to make a special announcement. The theme for this year's Christmas Parade is A Star-Spangled Christmas! ⭐🇺🇸🎄

We can't wait to see how businesses, organizations, and community groups incorporate the sights and sounds of America into their parade entries.

📅 Save the Date: The Annual Bolivar Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, December 5, at 5:30 p.m.

June Networking@Noon Round Table Round Up!

Our June Networking@Noon was packed with community updates, upcoming events, and opportunities to get involved. Here's what our members shared:

Grand Missouri Bank will host a Cyber Security Workshop on June 30.

Toys R Ross, LLC is hosting a Convention for Comics, Cards, and Collectibles on July 11 at the Bolivar Recreation Center.

The community is invited to cheer on the Bolivar High School Speech & Debate team as they depart for national competition in Virginia on Friday, June 12, at 3:20 p.m. on the southeast corner of the square.

American Legion invites veterans, spouses of veterans, and sons of veterans to join the organization for $40 annually. District 17 will be organizing a time capsule event on July 4 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.

Double J Outdoor Party Rentals recently acquired A Turn of Events in Stockton and will host a Grand Opening celebration on June 27 from 11 a.m.–2 p.m.

Disabled American Veterans Bolivar Memorial Chapter 66 will operate a fireworks stand at their building behind Wendy's for Fourth of July.

OCHC - Ozarks Community Health Center will host its 2nd Annual Car Show on July 18 from 8 a.m.–12 p.m. at the Hermitage location.

Citizens Memorial Hospital will host a Baby Fair on July 11 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. on the third floor of the new hospital building, featuring more than 30 vendors.

Bolivar First Assembly - BFA is offering a summer feeding program to help provide groceries for families with children 18 and under. There are no income requirements.

Bolivar Christian Church offers showers for community members in need Monday–Thursday from 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

Polk County KLIFE summer activities are underway! Students in grades 3–12 can participate. Contact K-Life for more information.

The Polk County-Library is hosting a Summer Reading Program, Murder Mystery event, and Author Fest. Visit their page for details.

Polk County Health Center Summer Lunch Program begins July 6 and runs through August 14. Volunteers are needed! Please reach out to Carol Bookhout for more information on how you can help.

MOVINO Winery is a locally owned winery located just south of Bolivar. MOVINO was created with a vision of bringing people together to enjoy locally crafted wines in a welcoming atmosphere. Featuring a tasting room, a gorgeous view, and wines made from Missouri-grown grapes and fruit, MOVINO is poised to become a unique destination in our area.

Ready to visit? They are officially open today, June 5 and will be open Fridays and Saturdays from 12–8 p.m. and Sundays from 12-6 p.m. moving forward.

We are excited to welcome MOVINO Winery to the Chamber and look forward to seeing them become a favorite destination for both residents and visitors. 🍇🥂🍷
