🌳 MVOP Hours Opportunity – Tree Debris Cleanup! 🌳

A tree came down on one of our power lines today. Our board jumped into action and Dominion was on site this afternoon and power is restored! That said, they left the tree laying in the lower parking lot. We’re looking for a few members who would like to earn MVOP hours by helping cut up and clean up the tree debris pictured below

Bring gloves and any appropriate tools you have available.

As we wind down our pool season, do us a favor and give our amazing team of guards an enthusiastic THANK YOU next time you're at the pool.

These teens undertake serious training, manage rotating schedules, and navigate something new every single shift to keep our pool safe, clean, and fun for all members and guests!

THANK YOU to those who contributed to SPLIT the SPLITS this weekend -- we raised $1,105, which will be matched by WRA *and* we got to watch Chris Roland angrily strike a check for an additional $500! We photographed it for your own enjoyment.

This brings our total amount raised for SPLIT the SPLITS at $3,905 -- so look out for opportunities to give before our Labor Day Weekend deadline!

This association of ours is special and our community's commitment will help create a sustainable space for many decades to come. The gratitude feels like the first high dive jump of summer!!

WRA Members!! We have $170 go to reach our weekend fundraising goal for SPLIT the SPLIT!

Here is your reminder to help us match $1000 for the Woodmont 'SPLIT the SPLIT' fundraiser by the end of this weekend! As a reminder, If we reach our $1,000 goal, UNWIELDINGLY FAMOUS board member and current Treasurer, Chris Roland, will contribute an additional $500.

In 2026, WRA will introduce a ductless mini-split system to provide consistent year-round climate control. Why should you contribute to split a Mini-Split system with WRA?

• Support efforts to lean away from oil usage, which is especially costly in the winter and detrimental to the environment
• Elimination of inefficient window units, which cost more to run than an efficient mini-split system
• Comfortable accommodation of Woodmont Rec-sponsored events, year-round
• Increased marketability of the Clubhouse as a rental space for third parties and community events, which raise revenue
• Benefit our regular operating budget moving forward.

Investing in efficient climate control now means: ⬇️ lower utility bills, ⬆️ higher rental revenue, and 🔄 more opportunities to use our incredible Clubhouse!
